The old East Coast road formerly wove its way from Masafi through the village of Tayyibah and thence down Wadi Ham to the village of Dibba. Tayyibah was later bypassed when the new road was surveyed and constructed, and remains a quiet agricultural village, whilst Dibba itself has grown considerably. Dates are one of the main crops, with healthy palm groves benefiting from the shade afforded by the surrounding high hills after noon.
